Well, you CANNOT possibly have effectively done all those things as that's the grand sum of everything possible that's going wrong.

Most likely it's either a driver issue (and don't forget to check LOADS of drivers, not just graphics drivers, as even sound drivers can affect your graphics performance, thank fto using directx).

Other than that, I'd also suspect hardware as well.

It would be better if you told us EXACTLY what steps you've taken because saying "i've done all these things" tells us nothing.

I would first then check those drivers, and try to Google for the most recent (DON'T let windows search automatically).

Then I would be doing things like INTENSIVE memory and hard drive checking, which will probably take a few hours.
yes believe it or not .. i did all of these things . which is what has me so confused now , there are no issues to be seen but the games are not working . i went into my device manager and checked all my drivers one at a time . im not noticing issues in any other area but my steam , ive used windows, geforce and alienware for my drivers. ive cleaned and defraged both my c drive and my drive . this started right after an update to ark . ( game has been deleted and reinstalled) verified integrity and repair steam folder as well . thank you for your comment !

What are your specs, and what games have crashed specifically?

I mean if you've done all these things and are still having issues it sounds like a pretty serious hardware issue offhand.

Have you tried a clean Windows install (as you've only updated if I am reading things right).
no i havent reinstalled windows . i would think gpu but im not having any other red flags , just my steam games loading or downloading slow or not at all . ive tried ark, gta, fallout and skyrim so far and those are the only ones ive attempted gta will load but im seeing floating buildings in story mode , online lags and or crashes are a few mins in game . the other games are crashing as they load .
alienware aurora r5
intel i7-6700@ 3.40ghz
windows 10
nvidia geforce gtx 1080 ( my monitor isnt impressive )
cdrive is a ssd - 500g storage
d drive is a hdd - 2t storage ( running my games from here ) ( both drives have space left and i have recently deleted defragged and diskcleaned )
16 g ram
I've had issues recently with my computer, and I got into contact with Microsoft Support. They done some things, disabled stuff- they disabled my steam, and I didn't know until I noticed that afterwards, I couldn't get steam to properly run or open, so I checked what all he disabled- well..
disabled my game card, disabled my oculus, disabled everything to do with steam, etc. I enabled everything again, and restarted my computer, again. It will launch games to a certain extent before completely shutting them down again, and I've done some things to come to the conclusion that it isn't anything really to do with my computer's stuff, as a game I have downloaded on here, isn't even related to steam whatsoever- and it works perfectly fine- so I'm needing help on what to do, I'm afraid to uninstall steam, reinstall and have to redownload all of my games all over again(which I've done twice now as I've reset this computer twice to keep it cleaned and such). So I'm coming here to ask for help if anyone has ever had any issues similar to this- and to specify 'what game' it is, it's ALL games. No game works through steam at all. Steam sometimes crashes as well, so I know it is definitely something to do with Steam itself.

Thanks for anyone's help! :)

Well loading slow and downloading slow could just be separate issues. However if there was some issue with the HDD, performance, or disk usage that could possibly account for that.

Out of curiosity how are your temps under load?

And lastly, a dumb question. You're sure you've plugged your monitor into your 1080 and not the iGPU? Everyone once in a while someone does this (my own wife even) and it's such a simple thing to check and cross off the list. And that could explain some of the symptoms you're describing.
ixoxblitz , it sounds like your steam is corrupted , reinstalling it might be your best bet , having to reinstall your games is painful but better than not being able to play them at all . good luck with your issue . hopefully the smarter geeks will continue to comment advice here for us lol

And actually be nice, y'know. I've never came to topic's and such so I just looked into something *similar* to the issues I'm having, I'd appreciate if people would be a little nicer and more considerate for those who don't come to the discussion page. ;) (aiming this towards 'Brockenstein').

Sorry for not being familiar with things, oops

just double checked to be sure , my monitor is indeed plugged into my 1080. it seems to need a dusting but im not running hot . im going to attempt to load somethings ( which is ironically the issue ) and see if i can get the exact temp now though thank you for the advice
i was able to very quickly log into another game not through steam. with high graphics enabled , my frame rate was only 30 but it loaded and worked fine , CPU SENSOR reads : 48C , ambient senor : 41c GPU sensor#1 : 61 C GPU fan #1 41% CPU cooler = 1644 rpm (20%) FRONT FAN = 469 rpm ( 20%0 Top Fan = 534 rpm ( 21%) no sounds or anything unusual coming from the pc . this is also liquid cool . i attempted to validate the files for gta alone 25 min ago . it is only at 15% which i find slow compared to what ive seen before . ( this game has recently been reinstalled ) i am currently verifying gta , four tabs are open in firefox , two steam windows , aw command center and said game is running , i have made sure to not have anything but steam open when attempting to log into my steam games though . thank you !!

Brockentstein is being perfectly polite.

The thing you need to remember is many of us on here have been here years. We've seen all the usual stuff, and one thing we quickly learn is to be AS FRANK AS POSSIBLE, because otherwise a lot of people miss stuff or just don't read.

So don't confuse frankness with rudeness. Brockenstein is FAR from that.

Furthermore, he was correct. The fact you didn't read the rules is your own fault. All he did was tell you of the rules.
