Keep in mind that there is a global pandemic and that response times *will* be longer because of that.
But its so lame that steam created a new account against my will and put that product into that account. I didnt even created it, and its not a starter pack. Its obvious that i need it on my existing account.
Now i have to wait. :(( not fair

I agree. Something doesn't sound right here. If "the old account" is and was the stand alone version of the game (not purchased and installed through Steam) the Steam installation of the game treats it as a new account and they can't be linked or merged. Eve's developers did that, Steam had nothing to do with it Valve has no control over how other developers design their game.
Steam will approve the refund if you've asked for one. You may have to let them know that you want the refund to go back in to your bank account, not in your Steam Wallet.
I ve just seen it somewhere at bottom.
Still its not logical (starter packs are already there) , and seems like a trap. I m sure im not the only one made that mistake.
I hope i get my money back.
I will never pay something in steam again, so i wanted my credit card to be refunded.
I haven't played Eve in a very long time. It's a great game but the subscription stuff chased me away from it. Is there a benefit to playing it through Steam? With all the money and time Eve players invest in to that game it's probable best to stick to one version or the other since an account can't be linked or merged.
It's not deceitful or Steam's fault YOU didn't read all the details before you made the purchase...
I never read details / instructions for anything, its a principle i adopt.
I cant help it. :(
Still, i believe they could have explain it better. Plus there is starter packs. Its no point to put an item like that on the market. Since its common thing to come across discount offers from valve. I believe there were other players made same mistake as i did.
LMFAO! Yeah! I agree.
They did explain it. You didn't read it. LOL
If you read the text you wouldn't be in this situation.
True. A lot of people don't read those things. And there's sometimes negative results caused by their laziness that nobody can do anything about.
It doesn't take long to read text. You just did it now.
you should read the post before you answer it.
Seems like we both lazy.
How can you possibly know if it's explained AT ALL if you don't read stuff you agree to?
You see the logical fallacy there?
I echo what others have said - change your ways as you'll keep making daft errors like this. If you don't understand stuff - ASK. But it sounds like you're just trying to fool yourself that you don't read it because "it's a policy". It's OK to say "yes, I tried but I don't know what it means".
It's nobody's fault but your own that you didn't read text that was right there in front of you.
Accept this experience as a lesson; read the text. It's there because it's important information.
I think you should start not to read instructions either.
Its more fun this way.
