Can a virus save on steam cloud sync and use it to spread?
Formatted my PC a while back, was wondering if this was a possibility.

Not that I'm saying otherwise, but would you mind elaborating? I'm in a similar predicament to OP.

Sure, because saves uploaded to Steam cloud are scanned to iirc.

If Valve didn't do this, that would have been exploited a LONG time ago, and the fallout would have been massive on these boards. It hasn't happened.

Besides, all saves are ones that have been run through each game, so any hiding code would cause the save not to be recognised, so it defeats the purpose.

If you've got a virus, you got it from somewhere else.
