Anyone noticing a delay in refund approvals? What do i do?
Hey all, recently decided to refund two games following the steam sale since they dont run too well and arent very fun. Both played under 2 hours and within 2 weeks of purchase.

However, it’s been 3+ days since the refund request was sent and i’ve received no response. Previously it was 2 days but i cancelled and resubmitted a refund request in hopes it would approve faster.

Normally it takes less than 12 hours for a refund to request to be approved. Im worried it may be because ive been refunding games a bit more often over the past few months, usually just because they arent too fun and dont run great on my new downgraded setup, but all meeting the 2hr/2week criteria.

Anyone noticing similar wait times for refund approvals? Not talking about the fund reimbursement, just the approval itself.

Also, when should i contact steam support about this?

yea, there is nothing you can do about it. My refund ticket for the CNC Bundle is literally ignored (I reopened the ticket for refund 6 days ago). I tried to contact support too, but it was still ignored (4 days ago). Previously,  my refund ticket was rejected because Steam said I played more than 2 hours despite only playing for a couple minutes. Some of the extra hours came from my last year gaming session when I had an EA play pass. I have proof from my game stats that I only played for a couple minutes after purchasing the CNC Bundle.
All play time is cumulative, fyi. It's not 2 hours of play time since purchase, which would be an avenue for abuse.
I'm still waiting for my dragon's dogma 2 refund approval, been 3 days and still no follow-up email, normally i get refunded within an hour of requesting. Kinda scary at this point who knows it's gonna take up to 14 days and i won't be able to get a refund by then. Very worrisome:steamsad:

As long as you requested the refund within 14 days and have under 2 hours of playtime it will be approved. There can be delays for various reasons such as sales just ending, if you've changed account info recently, etc

I understand, they dont want people to play up to almost 2 hours, refund, rebuy, resume play to almost 2 hours, and repeat, it just frustrating that my game play from a year ago from an EA Play subscription (not from purchasing the game or bundle) is going to haunt me back. I am not trying to abuse the system; in fact, for me, it feels like I just got scammed by Steam (sorry), kind of like a street scammer that gives you something for free, but after you accept it, they want some money. I plan to cancel my refund ticket after 2 weeks and delete the CNC bundle from my library. They can keep the money and let this be a lesson for me.

I never play games after requesting a refund for this reason, but i hope the refund process doesnt take longer than 2 weeks since i made my purchase and gets auto denied. Currently its been 8 days since puchase.

What do you mean auto denied? If its being denied what is the reason? Resubmitting a refund request that is auto denied will never accomplish anything.

Perhaps he/she means he/she is hoping Steam doesn't ignore his refund ticket for more than 2 weeks, and then Steam simply say, "Sorry, fam its been more than 2 weeks; no refund for you.".

Yeah, just making sure because people have tickets auto closed if account is hijacked. As long as its open just need to wait

I just want to say my refund ticket is accepted, got my money back, I hope you got yours too, cheers
I refunded a game on the 20th, today only the game was removed from my library and the pending amount is displaying.

5 days? what gives?
You should ALWAYS remember that the time frame depends entirely on demand.

As we've just gone through a sale, then of course this extends things as this time is when they're going to get more than average numbers of refund requests.

The Winter and summer sales are obviously the worst for this, but this spring sales is a fairly large one too.

Typically any time a few weeks after the sale will obviously be the time this happens. But also during the sale. Also, bear in mind weekends too.
Hey guys, just got my refunds approved today! Hang in there, it'll resolve eventually so long as you meet the 2week/2hr criteria!
