Also if you can try this:
Start Windows in Safe Mode with Networking. ONLY open Steam and if you can view the store page then it would suggest it's some software on your PC causing the issue and then down to tracking down what it is.
If it still doesn't work it's likely something outside of software, like your connection, cabling, ISP etc.
I wanted to uninstall-install but then I found out that I can't access steam via browser so no way to reinstall.
Tried deleting almost everything in steam folder to force it to update and it did redownooad everything but the error persists. Tried clearing download cache and browser cache, flushed dns both for steam and general... Almost every troubleshooting step found online actually lol.
I'm on a PC, wired. Posting this from my mobile (connected to the same network via wifi) cause I can't log-in to community via browser. I can comment via steam client though.
If anyone has additional possible fixes, pls post so we can try, TIA!
It's possible this happened due to a network hiccup.
On Windows, you can try WindowsKey+R and then typing
and pressing enter. A black window will briefly pop up indicating that the DNS cache has been cleared, which will make your computer look up the address of Steam again.
The safe mode still didn't load the steam store... as to whether this is since the last update... I honestly have not logged in to the PC since September of last year so irdk
Both firefox and chrome couldn't load my steam store
Chrome says "This site can’t be reachedThe webpage at https://store.steampowered.com/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
ERR_ADDRESS_INVALID"
Firefox says "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.
We can’t connect to the server at store.steampowered.com.
If you entered the right address, you can:
Try again later
Check your network connection
Check that Firefox has permission to access the web (you might be connected but behind a firewall)"
They are both able to load plenty of other websites and I'm now commenting from my PC so it's probably not the connectivity. I'm not sure though...
