Why is this game unavailable?
Hi all,

I live in South Africa and I'm wanting to buy Unreal Tournament 2004, but when I navigate to the ut2004 marketplace page it gives me this: {LINK REMOVED}

There doesn't seem to be an option to buy. I know that this is a problem with my being in South Africa, but there don't seem to be any obvious signs that this game is restricted.

Any way I could get around this?

Ok, the link didn't work, but basically there is no 'buy' button and no price

This game has probably been region locked for your country. You could try buying it on another gaming selling site, such as gog or gamersgate, if they sell it.

Ok, awesome. Thanks. I just thought it was strange because usually they specify in the description which countries the game is unavailable in

It is available in South Africa otherwise you wouldn't be able to view the store page. However, it doesn't have a price tag:

This can happen when a country's store page changes from US$ to regional pricing - some publishers forget to set up prices for the new regional stores which leaves people in those countries unable to buy said product. Hassle Epic Games into setting up the prices and the buy buttton will reappear.

Oh, i learned something new about steam..sorry that happens. I had no clue that happens to people on here. Thanks for answering Brujeira.
