All I got from Valve, despite this being my only ever refund request, is "This does not warrant a refund". Obvious automated answer, I'm pretty sure no one at Valve actually examines "special refund requests" :/
EDIT : btw, it was Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Ultimate Edition
Oh there are certain cases which they will refund outside the 2 weeks. FOr starters. If something within the game 's system requirement changes or if the information on the store page is incorrect in some way.
An example of the first is say the devs drop support for an OS.
But even in these cases the further you are past 2 weeks, the less likely you are.
False. Depends on how many games you have to begin with, and also a little thing that sometimes gets in the way (I believe it's called real life or something) ;)
No he is correct, it's 2 weeks and less than 2 hours played. VALVe decided that 2 weeks is more than enough time.
Actually yes. You see that was one of their criteria for refunds even before the refund policy. :-P. If you can show where the product was misrepresented on the store page, either in terms of specifications or description. Or where the specs have changed in some uncontrollable not mitigatable way as well as having low play time.. Then you have a chance.
Say dropping support for an older OS or a key feature like multiplayer. they will look at it and in many cases grant you a refund.
I think you misunderstood what I meant, which is : 2 weeks is not always enough, even if Valve decided as such. That was not really the point anyway, the question was more : is there actually anyone at Valve examining such special refund requests, or not ?
Special requests are looked at all the time yes, if you are denied you can contact steam support to double check.
I only found out u can refund the game after 1 month of having a game that i did not enjoy playing
Well thats not Steams fault is it? The refund policy is easily viewable. If you dont inform yourself about your rights , you are the only one to blame.
not to be rude, bu neva said it was Steams Fault :)
