IF someone is using your old pc with steam on it, it is possible there using your steam account and that would cause this issue too. I hope you scrubbed your old pc or drilled your old pc hard drive or someone could steal info off the old pc to do bad things, like hijacking your steam account.
Just not sure why the Steam Launcher on the new machine today is not letting me log in despite all Account name and password being correct.
So did you install those things on the new pc, or a pc from 8 months ago? Your post is confusing. If the pc is 8 months old, it is no longer new.
I also purchased a new PC a couple weeks ago.
PC from 8 months ago I had no problems installing steam and logging in.
PC Purchased a couple weeks ago is the one I am currently having trouble logging into.
I cannot log into steam app on my phone either.
