Important: One or more files may fail to verify.
This is normal for most Steam games. The files that fail to verify are local configuration files that should not be replaced as part of this process. You can safely ignore this message.
If you're still having issues though then it's something else.
Could you report EXACTLY what the issue is you're having and what happens and when?
not all games have only 1 file that always fails to verify, some have none, while others have more.
some games have many more, 2 examples are civ 5, which always fails to validate 3 files, while civ 6 always fails to validate 6 files.
that being said, it has to be more than just configuration files that dont get replaced, as to what i dont know, but it is kinda annoying that only some games have this issue, while others dont.
i did do the same thing with another game as it was also having file problems and nothing happened, it just looked over all files and it worked, so i dont know whats wrong
worth a try i guess.
I'm asking what happnens when you try to run the game? EXactly when does it crash, what happens on the screen any messages and so on.
ohhh, i see, well right before it loads actually, its still a black screen when a error message pops up for like less than a second, it gave me an error about something quests, so i went in to the files and was sugested by a friend to deleat and verify the file so it'd be replaced, and so i did
