But if you want some action and don't need the newest game: Gas Guzzlers Extreme is the best I know of. Racing AND shooting is better than just racing, right?

To be fair Gas Guzzlers is more arcadey rather than actual racing.

I think that's more what the OP was after.


Games like rFactor 1 and 2, Automobilista 1 and 2, Assetto Corsa and Competizione, and the F1 games are great starting points.

Especially with Assetto Corsa and rFactor as those games have AMAZING mod support with all sorts of stuff - I particularly love the old 1950s F1 cars and circuits.

They are the best for steering wheels.

At £3 it's a no brainer.

Again with the mods that go from pre-war racers to just about every racing series ever invented, you can't argue with that.

There's a reason the mod folder alone is over 80GB on my laptop ;)

For me "racing with wheels" was just ... some car on a street and the wheel works. :-)
