Eh, just Google it.
For example, I don't own this game yet.

In the system requirements, it says you need 25 GB, but this can sometimes become out of date when they don't update this information after doing several game updates, so Google tells me from more than one source:
12.6GB download. 15.5 GB after it's unpacked.
You want to keep in mind though how Steam handles downloading and unpacking. It will download 12.6 GB of compressed files, then extract those to a total of 15.5 GB before then deleting the original 12.6 GB. Therefore the end result is 15.5 GB of drive space used, but during the whole process you'll need 28.1 GB to actually install it, even though it won't be using that much in the end.
Really though for optimal drive performance you shouldn't fill your drives up all the way. You want to leave some wiggle room for bits to get shuffled around. Leaving about 15% of the total available is usually recommended.
You ask in the corresponding forum as the people there are more likely to know such details about any game in question.
Example - you want to know how big Doom is. You go to that forum and ask.
You want to know how big BeamNG is. You go that forum and ask.
You can find each game's forum simply by going to the game in your library. Look at the green PLAY button, and immediately underneath you'll see a list of words. Click on "discussions"
