DO NOT USE - Hearts of Iron IV: Cadet Edition Post-Release

I have a strange DO NOT USE comments for my license and when run my HoI4 I cannot play as there's a strange icons on the army selected ... what's wrong? I cannot either buy a new HoI4 as it stated that I have already in my library but cannot play. How I can fix that?

What do you mean by "comment"? Where does it say "Do not use"?

I suspect an unauthorized reseller was involved and OP was possibly scammed with a non-working promo code.

That was 2017 so really don't remember neither cannot find in e-mail - could we delete this record so I can re-buy this time via steam?

If you bought it on Steam, which I find highly unlikely, you'd have it in your purchase history.

no that was bought via any local re-seller and the code on CD if recall correctly - don;t have it in the purchase history on steam

Check the "View licenses and product key activations" under the purchase history.

I don;t have any which means that none has been purchased via steam. Any suggestions how to fix it?

But you can play the game. You just said that you can, the only difference being some strange icon you can't figure out.

The name of the license doesn't matter. It still includes the game Hearts of Iron IV plus some DLC.

These strange icons, what about them is preventing you from playing the game?

indeed it is preventing smooth playing as you cannot see the info about any of the selected troops (left upper part of the screen ...) - does anybody know how to reach any person from Steam support? looks like there's no e-mail neither a chat ...

This sounds more like a topic for the game forum to help you with. Perhaps it's a bug with the game that the forum is fully aware of.

Could be but don't think so as somebody (rather from Steam) update my list of licenses to DO NOT USE for the HOI 4 ... anyway regardless looking desperately for any solution !!!
