That tends to happen if your account is compromised.
If you changed something recently, then you will simply have to wait. Support can't speed up the process.
Never rely on a refund to make a purchase, during a sale.
So if its been only 10 hours you have to wait 62 more before your ticket will even enter the waiting line.
You always get a response from Steam Support.
If tickets are auto-closing it is a sign your account is compromised.
Do all the following NOW to secure your account.
1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key at https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be NOTHING in the APIKEY)
Once you have followed all the steps listed re-submit refund request.
Leave the refund alone as the date you submit it is locked. Time does not continue to tick as the refund policy is: WITHIN 2 weeks of purchase AND with LESS than 2 hours playtime.
if you are refunding a game, you uninstall it from your computer and stop playing it.
UPD: I noticed that refunds takes longer than usulally a few months ago if before I was getting approval the same day I send the refund now it takes from 2-3 DAYS! or almost a week just for an approval. I thought it happend because I was doing a lot refunds in a short span of time
but when I read emails it all says this (sorry if there some mistakes english is not my native language)
also the first email where it says this was 4 months ago
Not entirely true on the 2 week and 2 hour limit. I got a refund for Spider-Man 2 after 3+ hours of gameplay and after having it for over 2 weeks. This was a month ago.
