Not working game - what to do

Hi
i have a copy of a game with do to third party reasons is not working ( game key is invalid )
i wish to get this none working game removed from my steam account so i can purches it again from the steam store
Saddly steam support refuses to help and always redirects me to the thirdparty support witch always ends on the same note ( repurches the game we cant do nothing )
this is happening for years and im done and my frends cant help me no more
is there anything that can be done?
my steam account means allot to me and i have one other blunder that ruins it already
please help

Where are you trying to enter the product key?

GTA V - bought directly from steam - it will enter the product key into the rockstar game launcher when starting the game

this problem started years ago and both rockstar and steam support say they cant help me and refer me to the other every time im sick of this and just wish to have it fixed

Well, here's the thing - if you have it activated on Steam then it STAYS there. You CANNOT remove it. There's legal reason for this. Valve used to remove games in the past but when people changed minds it caused all sorts of issues as they legally MUST reinstate them.

So they do not do it any more - all you can do is HIDE the game.

As for Rockstars end if it won't accept the key there then you don't need to remove it as it isn't there.

So you can't do anything except hide the game under Steam settings.

thats nice and all but i am trying to buy the game to play it and hiding the game wont let me buy it again so what do i do?

The license is tied to your account, support can not remove it and even if they could, you wouldn't be able to purchase it again. It will just tell you to restore the removed game.

ok but since the key isnt working on rockstars end and there is probebly no way to get around the autefill from steam to give it any other key im styll just stuck right?
i feel like this needs solution

GTA V on Steam has no game key. All you need to do is to link your Rockstar Social account and your Steam account and on first start on Steam it will tell you to log into your current Rockstar account, after that the game just starts and is now registered to that account.

If you just got a key for the game then its not for Steam, all retail copies of GTA V that come with a activation key are ONLY for the Rockstar Social Club client.

I see that on your profile you have 300+ hours in GTA V on Steam , meaning you have a legit Steam copy. All you need to do is login into the correct Rockstar Social Club account that you first used when playing that copy on Steam.

Did your old Social Club account get banned or something? That seems to me the only logical reason you are trying to activate another copy.
But like already said by others, that will not work. In that case you need to create a new Steam account and buy it again on there or on a new Rockstar Social Club account outside of Steam.

well honestly i was a child back then and tried to recreate my rockstar account with a different name deleting the old one witch got the steam key liked to it
its a long time back and i bash my head against a wall every day for everything i did as a kid
i just wish to fix stuff so i can move on

As already answered the only solution you have is to make a new account and buy it on there.

However, to avoid crap like that happening again, you might just want to buy it on Rockstar's end?

This is one of the big problems with digitally distributed games, sadly. Ring-fencing.
