Hide games or uninstall them?

Through the years I have acquired a ton of Steam games. My grandsons are getting older
and 80% or more are never used. It would take way too long to go through the total removal approach with them. It is quick and easy to put them in the HIDE category/folder. Would that be the best way for me to get them from showing up on the long long game list? Or would that create it's own problems? They are already uninstalled from the gaming list but not totally from showing up. It would be nice to just quickly Hide them in that folder. Your help in this consideration is appreciated.

yes you wont see them on the list if put them on hidden and if u ever to decide to play them again just go to games ->hidden

Click that button to hide a game from your Steam library. (Click to enlarge.) Simply open your Steam library, then right-click on the game you want to hide and select Set Categories. In the pop-up menu that appears, check the box next to "Hide this game in my library," then click OK.

Ok...so I guess there isn't any problem just putting all these games in the 'hidden' folder?

It is really ironic here in a way you probably don't know about , but before there was a feature to actually remove games from a library on an account like we all have now, there used to be tons of threads here where users were asking for that very feature of removing them, and when we suggested to simply hide them as you see here by these suggestions, many of those users simply would not accept that and basically were demanding the removal feature as they were not happy with simply "hiding" them.

So it is a bit of a breath of fresh air here if you will, from seeing you actually wanting to just hide them. Hope you understand and yes, that is the easiest thing to do and the smartest in my opinion.
