Basically, you need a 64-bit copy of Windows, either on disc (such as might come with a pre-built computer), or a digital download from Microsoft/a licensed reseller. You could also refund City: Skylines if you bought it less than 2 weeks ago. Nevermind, you have 20 hours on the game. How did you play the game if you need a 64-bit operating system?

Flawlessmelody, I purchased the game on my other computer which was a 64 bit, unfortunatley that computer broke so I need to download the game on to this computer, do you know the website where I can buy that digital download. I have to get the digital download because this laptop does not has a disc drive thx.

If you have at least Windows 7, you can download a 64Bit version of your Windows for free from Microsoft. Your key is valid for the 32Bit and the 64Bit version.
You can put that installer on an USB stick, so no optical drive needed.

P.S.: If it's an OEM Windows copy, your mileage may vary.

But before installing the 64-bit version of OS you should check if your CPU supports 64-bit calculations.

Pretty much any CPU after 2005 supports 64bit structure.

I would suggest that you make sure there are drivers for that OS before a change to another version (32 to 64 bit in this case)

That should not be a problem really, but worth mentioning in case there may be an exception and drivers don't exist for some reason for your hardware in that computer.

You could post the computer model exactly , and we could look that up for you, but maybe you have already checked that and you can therefore ignore my post if you have, thanks.

Don't bother. It can't run the game anyway.
