Steam browser keeps refreshing:(

I open Google and it keeps refreshing so I can't type. After about 5-10s I can type however it keeps refreshing for each search and website I enter.

I have tried unchecking hardware acceleration and the other options that require a restart to no avail :(

It might be caused by browser extensions, try disabling them and see if the problems comes back enabling them one by one.

Or it could be because of chrome's memory saver.
You can turn that off in chrome's settings.

It's the "shift+tab" when you're in-game browser I'm talking about ;D

Well, tbh, I only know Steam's browser is chrome based.
Not sure if it uses it's own configuration or takes along any settings if you installed chrome.
It does seem to be a very similar issue.

If it's only affecting Steam, you could try clearing the webcache:

In Steam Settings > In game tab ; there's an option Delete Web Browser data.
