System Information incorrect VRAM
Whilst randomly checking my system Infomation via steam I noticed a minor error. My primary VRAM is listed as -1024mb so -1gb Whitch is clearly wrong.
My card is a sapphire HD 7950 3gb OC edition
No idea if this has any negative effects and btw I'm using the latest driver available if your wondering.

Steam is not the best way to measure system information.

And no, it wont have a negative effect on performance.

From time to time users can get Steam system messages asking to collect info about your system to help to improve their service and that is usually all that this can affect but yes, like Tekraken said, it does not affect your gameplay.

Heh, they're probably using ints instead of unsigned ints or long long ints.

Necro post but still a problem. Steam as well as Oblivion Remaster don't see my VRAM. I see 4/24gb on Task Manager, but it's still annoying. Any practical solutions?
Well what's your system specs. There's certain situations, like laptops where it's reading your IGP and not the GPU. Hard to say since you provided zero information.

At any rate it's not a general problem with a general solution, which is why you need to look at specifics, which requires information.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
