EDIT: The last time the same update was "re-released" was last month. That occurred a few days after the initial update, and they edited the blog to reflect that date.
However, the blog does not have a new date to reflect when these re-releases were pushed, which defaults under the presumptions it's the same day. However, the issue here is that these re-releases are actually being pushed days later like last time. That's where people will be getting the impression of Steam looping the same updates.
The stable client got a few re-releases to fix other issues that cropped up.

And it actually had been re-released again after the initial 4 fixes to include 2 more fixes.
I even checked yesterday. Had it update yet again, then after restart had it check again for updates and it found the exact same one again, so I told it to restart and after that checked again and it found the exact same update again...
Although this does seem to be effecting more people recently. Maybe Valve will finally fix it after years then.
This isn't a "re-release". This is a severe bug that's now suspiciously gonna break many Steam DRM'd games.
