steam using 100 disk usage when downloading.

steam using 100 disk usage when downloading, causing the download to drop to zero, then goes back up again then drops back to zero. I tried downloading other games on battle.net and it seems like the problem is steam. Any fix?

Found a fix, try disabling write cache on pc, which will be in device manager > right click ur drive > properties > policies

Steam uses lots of disk when downloading and especially patching games.

If that 'fix' works, then you have a Western Digital NVMe SSD, don't you?

Update the firmware and NVMe driver for your SSD (see WD's website).
Also, its a bug. It only happens with media streams and Steam downloads (which windows counts as such)

This just shows the importance of mentioning your specs (every piece).
