Light Mode UI

Is there a way to change the new UI to light mode? Dark mode is difficult to read for a long time due to my type of astigmatism...

I would also like a light mode, simply because I like the aesthetics better. It feels more modern, minimalistic, cleaner and visually pleasing. But sadly we live in a troglodyte gamer society that spends most of its time in dark caves (i.e. their rooms) without a particle of natural light coming through the window or having the room light on. This is why the dark theme has - unfortunately - become more and more standardised and has become a cancer for interfaces. It won't be possible for Valve to put a light theme for their UI, since Steam as a whole has a dark aesthetic... and if they haven't yet deigned to update the entire aesthetic of the website.... it's even less likely they'll come up with a light theme. At least after many years they finally deigned to update the aesthetics of the client.

Glad to know I'm not the only one with a preference towards the light theme, I wish we were listened to, but the dark theme is what prevails as I said, sadly... you'll have to deal with this unfortunately.

Yes please, light mode would be amazing. Even if it's just a colour flip that looks bad, it'd at least be usable.

I suffer from Irlen syndrome, and this dark background plays havoc with my eyes. A light mode would be greatly appreciated, and really wouldn't be that difficult to implement
