wallet code
Good morning. on 03/03/23 I bought a steam wallet code worth $20 on the G2A.pl website. i bought it and i wanted to copy the code and paste it into steam. but the message "The Steam Wallet code you entered has already been used. Steam Support is unable to generate a new code." I'm surprised because it's a legal and official site. I haven't given the code to anyone and it's supposed to be used

Please help

Well, firstly, not only can I not see that website, but are you 100% sure it is an authorized retailer for selling steam cards? If youre going to add funds to your wallet why not just do it directly through steam. You have the option of adding funds directly into the wallet.

If youre buying steam cards, always make sure they are authorized vendors. You can view a list here: https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/5BB2-E986-A733-CF0E and it is advised to avoid the grey market, like this one you used.

Does not look like a "legal and official" site when the url is being auto censored here.
Only stores listed here: https://isthereanydeal.com/
are legit Steam key reseller stores. Everything else is grayzone.

In any case, you have to contact the seller of the card, they sold you a already used one.
Nothing Steam can do about it.

BTW when you contact the site don’t let them fob you off by claiming, “you need Steam Support to unlock the card”, or “we need Steam Support to verify the purchase”. It’s a delay tactic - they’re hoping you’ll just drop it.

If they don’t give you a refund or new working card, do a chargeback on the amount you paid them immediately.

Look at these two parts of your post. Notice how Steam censors the web address? That's because it is a known scam site, is not legal or official, and is well known for fraud.

Your steps to resolve this issue are as follows:

First, contact your bank or payment service and issue a chargeback so you can recover your money from the fraudsters.

Next, buy your wallet funds from an official source, or from Steam itself. This article will tell you where you can find them, do note how the fraudulent site you listed is not mentioned here: https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/5BB2-E986-A733-CF0E

Lastly, stop using shady sites and don't go insisting that something is "legal and official" just because the scammers who just scammed you told you otherwise while they were scamming you.

Easy answer to this one in my case: Steam does not accept cash.

Regarding the topic, as has been said, it's not really an official site, and everything you buy there is between you and them.

If cash is the only way, then yes, using this https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/5BB2-E986-A733-CF0E would give authorized vendors.

But, OP gave a website, so it was purchased online, via credit, debit, or paypal, or some other form of card that you can load money onto, and here we are. If youre purchasing online, why go 3rd party unless you want it cheaper, but unfortunately, money = money. $20 = $20, and trying to get $20 for cheaper of "cash" just doesnt work

The site is filtered for a reason. The only place to buy wallet codes is through a recognised retailer which is networked with Valve. Any scam shop or marketplace can sell used codes and take your money and you will be left in total limbo because Valve don't have a connection to the place you bought it from and the shop can accuse you of using the code and wanting your money back.

One more thing, you should be aware about sites like this: They (usually) don't steal from everyone. If they did, they would not stay long in business and would not draw new customers after an initial few. If however, they give out false codes in 5-10% of all cases, they make a nice profit and have a large base of satisfied buyers to defend them against those, who were robbed.
