Steam dont crash your wifi, your wifi crash, and somethings is not work in the network as it should.

try cable to ruleout network issue with wifi, or do you have other pc issue such as lack of free space and why steam crash.

big game apox 100gb , i use mutiple by 5 other say 3 , thats mean you need 500gb free work space as temporay storage space. ( this is not a joke, steam or should i say game devs, dont explan OS boot disk issue with system also take storage while process data.

anything lesser the 200gb on 2TB disk is know as 10% old outdate windows rule ( red lable on disk ) the 10% fail on small os boot disk and 20TB disk so % dont actual work.

ps.
this is still your router to your pc problem. ( its so rare even your isp has a finger with it also, but its possible its seen before. ) what im telling you gather proof this is steam, get spare pc, this dont ruleout own router.

no it is steam, everything else downloads anywhere else, for instance epic games launcher works perfectly fine, but all my games are on steam and thats the issue.

No, Steam only triggers an apparent issue, it does not cause it.

That's like saying the Titanic sank because of all the water in it and not the iceberg that ripped it wide open.

It's either the driver for the wifi adapter, the wifi adapter being incapable of working under load or a spotty signal that is more apparent under load.

Your wifi is messed up. Contact your ISP or the developer of your wifi adapter and ask them. Clearly you have a issue with your wifi adapter or router, or something.

This is exactly what happens, I faced the problem some months ago.

I solve the problem by turning off the ipV6 option on Windows 11. Seem a regular problem from the OS handling the ethernet connection.

Yea, that is a mistake i used to make. Now i tend to set my own settings. I never let the os control my internet settings..
