Games Keep Crashing
Edit #1: dunno if it helps but, i´ve now noticed, all games above 10000mb (memory) on task manager crash, but below seems to run fine without crashes.

Hey guys, can any one help me, i´ve been on this for 3 months already im losing hope.
i bought a new Desktop (spec below), and it keeps crashing my games for no reason, Steam, GOG, Uplay, anywhere i play it symply crashes, i thought it might have been the Graphics card, since RTX 3050 back when it came out, some people complained it was broken, so i switched to a 3060, same result, everything is up-to-date.
second i tho it was the power supply, at the tech store, it showed no sign of that being the issue.
And all power supply recommended are below mine, so i have the ideal one.
Now i have people telling me to swtich to Windows 10 (from Windows 11), i really don´t know if im being trolled at this point or not.
All possible guide fixes have helped me none, and others were (sorry if im being mean) dumb, so i ignored those, because it would damage my new PC, i don´t know if i can watch another video guide.
Eveytime i start a game i last 20 or 30 min and crashes, no warning or error.

Please help me, i just wannna be able to come home after a horrible day at work and play a game to calm myself, its literally the only reason i play games.

Well seems like you've been looking for ways to avoid troubleshooting. I mean I can't speak to what guides you've been looking into since you didn't mention anything specific. Most guides are going to cover vague general issues, which isn't going to do anything to address or uncover system specific issues.

So, have you tested your RAM?

Is your motherboard BIOS up to date?

Have you updated drivers besides the GPU driver?

The next time the game crashes I'd look into the Windows Event Viewer. It may not tell you anything.

Trying Windows 11 couldn't hurt, I dunno seems like you have some biases since you seem to think that's some kinda troll. In lieu of that have you wiped out the PC and reinstalled Windows 10?

What games have you played most that have experienced this issue.

How are your system temps under load?

If you had spare components laying around you could always try testing with some of those, without them it does make some testing harder.

Either way narrowing down the root cause and testing individual components until you find something is the way to go.
Driver are all uptodate, im left with BIOS and RAM, but those are critical and i fear i might damage them if do something, i tried Heaven Benchmark and 3DMark, even did a stress test, but it shows its all good, haven´t crashes once during various tests.
I feel like it might be RAM, because while i was playing Half Life Alyx, it said "it seems there was RAM error" while in-game, now im thinking it might have to do with RAM.
But i´ll run a game with Event Viewer open and test it out.

If you have a 3060 why did you list this instead? Sapphire AMD RX 6600 8GB

Could you let us know the model of the 3060?

It's what says in the manual that came with it

Turn your fans up.

What are your max gpu & cpu temps under stress?

Is anything oc'd?

Describe the crash.

Is there an error code?

Look in Event Viewer.
After several games, every time it closes, event viewer says "Kernel RayTracing" error

post a cpuz validation link
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
cpuz -> validate button -> submit button
it will open a browser, copy the url (address) and paste it here

The first thing I do on any new system is to run memtest86+ on it for a while. It gives a good indication for system stability regarding CPU and RAM, although it doesn't say anything about the GPU. But, it's a starting point.

Not too long ago, my system started getting random crashes. Sometimes games would just crash, sometimes they would bluescreen. And rarely, the system would just bluescreen without running games at all. Also, Windows showed all sorts of where the crash happened, so the whole thing felt very random.

So, again, I downloaded memtest86+, put it on an USB stick, and booted that. Funny enough, test 8 failed. And only test 8; not 1-7, not 9 and beyond. I left it running, it wrapped around... and then test 8 again was the one that failed. It had more failures the second time; maybe random, maybe temperature, I don't know.

"Luckily", I had two modules, and only one was broken, so the system is stable again now, albeit at half its original RAM size. I didn't even know that RAM might just die after a few years, but...

Got it here

Btw Half-Life Alyx(the VR game), seems to grab the idea it might be memory problem, a message had pop´d when i was playing, it logged me off and said "memory error" and the game may suffer perfomance issue, but this is a brand new PC.

Just so you know other things can cause memory problem, thats why above user ask you about BIOS and Chipset Driver from board support, if it was so easy then a mem problem is report and it always is a ram block then all will said so.

Still think you should ask board support. because then things get unstable after apox 30minute thats same as say cant refresh or maintain ram cache with its data, that coauld be pointer to user setup issue or worse board default and that mean they are support and might have diffrent view point on whats going on here.

ps.
in the old day things like Turbo ram bios option cause issue later then OS get bulky or slower, and gl explan that to new pc owner then it did it fine over many years, and now it do not.
as i said things is not that simple always, standard RAM options is there for a reason, and why turbo default can fail.

point is TURBO RAM default setup option was the issue. ( this is why, it could be a user option issue )

gl with it.

As the OP point out, you only seem to get the issue with ram and refresh table and thats could be a board support issue or setup if the board support dismiss your case.

@OP,
Currently I think it is not a memory issue, but a GPU related issue.
And GPUs have their own memory, so it could still result in a memory error in some cases.

What I find suspicious is that you mentioned the PC specifically crashes when you run video games.
What you could try doing is running other 3D rendering software and see if you can figure out a connection there.
Also like other users mentioned, make sure you inspect Event Viewer and read the error or crash logs found there.

Exactly what types of crashes are you experiencing? Are they just closing or is your entire PC freezing or something? Is your PC restarting?
Do the games not even start up or does it take a while before it crashes?

As far as I can tell the lowest recommended PSU for an ASUS 3060 is 650W.

The store i bought it, says the one i have, Eurotech 550W 80+ is the recommeded one, my friend also agrees, so i don´t believe that to be the issue.
