Does toggling hardware acceleration in the client do anything?

Not for me it doesn't both with it ON and OFF it's just black screen.
I can hear the "buttons" being highlighted and clicked but can't see anything.

Old BPM works fine.

Someone on Reddit suggested forcing it into windowed mode might be a workaround for now. Can't hurt to try.

Yep just saw that suggestion here in other post.
This has its own issues.

Once i minimize BPM to window it works fine tho a little "delayed" but if i maximize it again i get a still afteriamge of how BPM looked before i maximized it again and remains like this.

So it only seems to work in windowed mode which defeats the whole purpose of BIG PICTURE mode lol

Yeah, that was my last suggestion. There's still some stuff listed here but you might've tried it allready: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SteamClientBeta/discussions/3/3710433479213382743/

Keep an eye on the Beta Client section and see if there are any changes or other advice.

Running into this issue as well with trying to stream to my TV and even trying to use Big Picture on my PC. Black screen but I can navigate the menu judging from the sounds it makes when I use my controller or mouse.

So using alt+enter does work to toggle into window mode and puttting it back on full screen for PC's Big Picture and Steam Link for your Smart TV. However it seems on Stream Link when playing Elden Ring on my smart TV the frame rate is unstable at the moment when in the past there were zero performance issue when running off my Alienware with its RTX 3080.

They fixed the black screen Big Picture mode issue today in Steam Client Beta. You can now use Big Picture normally even with GPU Accelerated Web Rendering disabled.
