Why are they lagging

Most of my STEAM games are really laggy. Dead Island, Doom Eternal, Dying Light, The Evil Within 2, and Back 4 Blood.
I don't know how to fix them.

They usually lagged since i bought them. But now they lag much more.

As for the GPU, I'm not so sure how to do all that. It's really confusing.

On your system there should be something like the Nvidia GeForce utility (can't remember what it's called).

Click on that and you will be able to set the options to force it to be used within games, and even tweak certain options.

Ensure Windows settings set to high performance, and that in the nvidia control panel set to maximum performance so it uses only your GPU, and not your IGPU.

I wouldn't suggest disable igpu for laptops.

If you have geforce experience installed, you open that, if it ask log in to nvidia account that what you do, and click drivers, and click update.
