eGPU Help with Bizon Box Mac
So currently, I have problems running games with my eGPU from Bizon Box. Whenever I try to run my eGPU with my mac, it won't work because it will usually say that there are no drivers installed or that I have a code 12 which says that it can't find enough free resources. Thing is, I have the correct drivers installed from NVIDIA and I do not know how to fix this code 12 error. The only solution I found working is to uninstall NVIDIA drivers then reinstall them and then the eGPU works for one time then stops working again because of the reasons listed. I also tried turning off my mac and restarting it with the eGPU but it will usually give me a black screen and will not load. I do not know why it does this, maybe I did not install something correctly? If anyone has any solutions, it would be much appreciated. Below are my specs

Well, that was just for your information. I would not suggest you make multiple threads all about the same issue.

Nice one. Forgot all about that forum. Macs are as foreign to me as breathing under water.
Thank you as well, although your suggestion was actually probably the better one in OP's case. I would first suspect that there are no drivers for that build and Windows 10 but I could be wrong. He is bootcamping it, so who knows at this point.

according to Bizon Box, it said that all I need to have this "fully functional" was to download additional drivers from nvidia. I did download the correct one for windows 10 and my gpu but still no luck

That covers GPU drivers but NOT system drivers.

yes, using an integrated gpu with the bizon box unconnected, it works fine and I can play games with windows 10. I have not tried using bizon box with the mac because it requires an external monitor for it to use.

How does that device connect ? Is it with USB ? If so, then maybe it is a USB driver issue. You cannot run Windows 10 on just any computer. You have to have all the drivers for the OS to work will all the hardware, and that included USB controllers.

Hmm, I guess I'm a bit confused and should probably quit while I'm ahead, but isn't the Bizonbox made especially for the Mac and not Windows?

https://bizon-tech.com/us/bizonbox2-egpu.html/

^ According to their website ^
yup, bizon box is made especially for mac. I do have a mac as it is a 15 in mid-2015 macbook pro retina bootcamped to windows. On the bizon box website, it said it should work with bootcamped also

Yeah, I see it now where it mentions:

Performance boost.
Up to 9X times faster compared to integrated graphics.

Easy to connect.
Compatible with any Thunderbolt–enabled Apple computer.

Universal.
OS X and ***Windows*** support.
yup, i just emailed bizon support about this too. hopefully they can help me

If it plugs into your computer, it almost surely needs drivers for Windows to recognize and fully utilize the device, that was my point. I cannot say that is your issue here, but many are trying to run Windows 10 on computers that will not support Windows 10. That is all I am suggesting. I also know nothing about a Mac so I have no idea on the possible issues that can come up by bootcamping an OS that is not supported on the hardware in the Mac compuer. I "assume" not having the proper drivers can still be a problem.

according to apple website, my mac (2015 15 in retina Macbook Pro) does support windows 10. It also says that when installing windows 10 thru bootcamp assistant (which I did) should automatically download the necessary drivers for it. However, the problem may be as I actually did not buy windows 10, only just the free home edition. here is the source I got this from

What about Windows 10 Bison Box drivers ? Can you link us to a website for that device that shows drivers for that OS ? Sorry, but I have no idea about that device either, but only thinking out loud here.

Good points Giving One. According to this article dated just this past January 29th. (2016):

"Microsoft will not officially support Thunderbolt 1 & 2 devices on Windows 10, though they may work with vendor support. They are focusing their support on Thunderbolt 3."

^ Kind of interesting I guess as a little bit more of the troubleshooting process. ^

Thank you very much for that information. You seem to be much better at digging there than I am... :)
