Why can't I sell my CS:GO skins?!
Everytime I try to sell something, this pops up: https://gyazo.com/4169869c1bb3af9a7ccbd96b28716bd3

If you're too scared to open the link then here, this is what it says:
Market listing will be held for: 15 days
You have not been using the Mobile Authenticator for 7 days
Learn more about how to remove the need for market listing holds

What does this mean? I read through it but I don't understand! Is it a must to have a phone to sell stuff? What do I do if I don't? Please help me

You need to enable the authenticator on the Steam mobile app.

If you can't use the authenticator, you're out of luck. All of your items will go on hold for 15 days before they appear on the market.

How does it work?

If a user trading away items hasn't had their account protected by a Mobile Authenticator for the past 7 days, item delivery will be delayed by Steam for up to 15 days (1 day if you've been friends for at least a year.) This provides the user time to cancel the trade and any other that are pending.

But I have steam app thing on my ipod touch for almost a year and a half but I can't confirm anything, it says I need a mobile number.

If it is a new device, then see this...

If you have had a Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator on your account for at least 7 days, there will be no trading or Market restrictions for using new devices/computers.

But the mobile authenticator restrictions have not been around that long, so what do you mean above when you say "steam app thing" ? Are you talking about the Steam client ?

I have had the steam app every since it came out, so I'm assuming I have had the mobile authentication feature thing right when it was released too. I had a 7 day market restriction where I couldn't use the market at all (because new computer) but that expired about a week ago.

On the app I go to "Steam Guard" > Settings > and I have "Get Steam guard codes by email" enabled. I can't set it to mobile because I don't have one. What should I do?

That was already answered above.

Realistically you should only need the SMS portion of mobile authentication when you add the mobile guard, and if you need to recover your account due to lost device.

If you can get a google voice number, you can use that for the SMS part. Or any cheap prepaid phone that can get SMS messages.

Then you can use your idevice as the actual Steam Guard device and not have to deal with the 15 day wait.

So I could, let's say set the mobile number for the authentication feature to a family member's phone or a friend's phone. But after that all of the selling confirmations will go to my idevice and the number would only be used in case of losing the device?

Correct. I still recommend google voice or a cheap phone though, that way the number's in your control at all times.

I need help
I have a phone authenticator, and I confirmed the listing, but it still says "1 sell listing on hold
Learn more about how to remove the need for market listing holds"
It does not even say how long the hold is.
I have signed in and out, I have used the code on the authenticator.
What to do?
SpunkyJones May 11, 2017 @ 3:07pm
How long has the authenticator been active?
BoffoDeClown May 12, 2017 @ 3:22am
Three days

That's less than a week. Have it enabled for a week before you put up any items on the market.

Okay, thanks
