steam achievments hack legal?

i found a guy in cs go hacking the game achievments. and he said you not gonna get ban. when i search on youtube how to do it, the guy on youtube said you not gonna ban too. i just wanna ask is that true? thx for answering =)

It is frowned upon, that's the truth...
Once, a guy came on Meat Boy stating he got all achievements. He got roasted when people noticed all of them were "achieved" at the same time.
Besides, they are called achievements for a reason...

They also don't get you any fame or riches, so faking them is meaningless. Everyone else will just laugh at you for being so bad that you couldn't get them honestly.

you dont level up from achievements. you level up for badges which you craft with trading cards

you can unlock achievements without properly getting them, but its looked down upon. if you do this expect to get kicked from multiplayer games and talked down to/ignored on single player game forums

People have gotten VAC bans in the past for using achievement unlockers.

people have gotten VAC bans from having the achievement locker program running whilst playing a VAC secured game, its not the same thing
