Made a dispute immediately undid it
I did something really stupid and opened a dispute with PayPal over a game that did not work after making 2 refund requests after 4 hours of trying to fix the issues with the game, unfortunately, It was out of policy and out of frustration I opened a dispute with pay pal to get my money back. After receiving the message about the game being removed and blocked on my steam I thought I was making headway and the situation would be resolved however after going through the forums I realized I was one step away from getting a ban so I immediately closed the dispute and called PayPal to make sure the money would be returned to steam, I also opened the ticket for steam to resolve the issue properly.

I'm just posting this here to see if there is anything else I could possibly do to resolve the issue.:papyrus:

No, you just need to wait for Steam to respond. Unfortunately your PayPal will be banned from use on Steam, but they should remove the restrictions on your account.

that should be fine a necissary evil I suppose to solve the issue.

Since you are not getting the refund, maybe you would like to explore possibilities in getting the game to run on your system there now, that is if you meet the minimum requirements for it of course.

Post your complete system specs if you do, and the game of course. Give us a description of what happens when you try to run the game. Be very specific, please.

The game is dark souls III and I have tried quite a bit to get the game working most of it ending with low framerates and flickering textures that look like the graphics card is saying "kill me please" I'm running a hp envy m6 notebook laptop with a intel core i5 on a windows 10 opperating system in 64 bits.
my graphics card (which is a estimate since I cant quite figure out the model and the information on my computer is a garble of letters and numbers.) Intel HD graphics 4000 with up to 1696MB total graphics memory.
I have 8 gigs of ram
I also have two seperate moniters that I use one being the laptop itself and my tv I only use one at a time though.
I have a 1 terabyte hardrive

Whenever I run the game it starts with a white blank screen for 2 mins which I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game to fix and it sugguests that its eating up my cpu for some reason. When the game finally loads and i'm in the main menu and run the game the framerate litteraly spits me out of the game since its so bad. I have lowered all the graphics options and achieved similar results. Now I have fixed this on other games by lowring the resulution of my screen ingame and it fixes the framerate slightly but still causes the screen flickering like its a seizure disco party.
Since the game was blocked I did delete it so it may take a few days to reinstall when I get the game back (rural area)

bottom line the game looks horrible and plays horrible to be even worth playing anymore than the 4 hours I put into it trying to fix it.

oh and its the digital deluxe edition which is why I'm so upset as it was 80 dollars and a pre order.

So for the record, the Intel HD 4000 series is massively below the minimum GPU. I'm afraid you won't be able to run Dark Souls III on that notebook.

Thats very upsetting then

I'm sorry. The good thing about Steam is, your games will always be there. If you buy a new computer down the road, you can always play Dark Souls III then.

Should have read the system requirements and compared them to your laptop before paying EIGHTY DOLLARS! Some people evidently have more money than common sense.

I really am not that tech savy when it comes to graphics drivers since I cant tell the difference between a intel card and a nividia card this was entierly my fault.

I'll probably buy the ps4 version when I have money again which wont be until next payday.

Wow, OP, this is a bit tragic. All this stress, having the account issue here now, and trying to get a game to run on a system that does not even meet the specs for the game in question. Seems that just a bit of reading would have really helped you to avoid all this mess.

I suggest you ALWAYS check the store page for system requirements for games, especially for games like DS3 that are pretty system intensive to run in the first place and because you have a laptop for gaming. Check the requirements before buying any game on Steam, please.

I did check the system requirements for the game in question and I just didnt realize I had the wrong graphics card for the game.

In future, if you are unsure if you can run a game it wouldn't hurt to ask in the game's forum. Someone more tech-savvy can probably help you out.
CherrysavestheuniverseVT 2016 年 4 月 17 日 下午 12:37
yeah I'm probably going to avoid getting triple AAA games now since my computers now officially underpowered for the times.

My apologies to you then. Like the good habitualaction said, we are here in the community to help you if you have questions. People even post threads here all the time asking "can I run it" on a game. If in doubt, just ask. We won't bite...LOL
