Refund/achievements abuse

Why steam doesn't do anything about refund/achievement abuse? People buy a game unblock all achievements in a second and give a game for a refund, Why even achievements from games u don't have on account even count for your achivs/percentage of finished games. I saw people who go 90%+ and 200+ max achiv games having just 25 games on account!! Still it sux that if u play free wekend games/bad games that you refund you nearly always get unwanted achivs. That is why i dont play any free weekends/not sure games. Why even steam achiv manager is even legal - i am playing pd2 and try to get hard achivs for hours when someone else just unblock all in seconds - they have even unblocked all that even dont have (dlc). Anything going to change or steam gives a <removed>?

Why do you care? It's not like one can not cheat achievements for games without refunding. So why do you care?

Achievments have no benefits exept the one you give them personally.
I dont give a fu** if someone cheats all his achievments in a game. Has no bearing for myself.
I know that i did the achievments i have myself and that is what counts.
Cheated achievments are not even good for bragging rights since all the unlocked achievments have the same time/date. Everyone sees that those got unlocked by using a programm.
So who cares?

Thats why so many games are dead/not fun because no one cares (look payday 2 now). Look trading - people cheated and now u can't normally trade with anyone like before you need non stop to confirm evry single trade - ridiculous. Why even putting achievements and refunds if people abuse it. Maybe don't put games on steam - because no one cares if it is on steam on not - nice logic mate

Ogami you can't see unlocked achievements on refunded games mate;p So like now trade doesn't work - oh well who cares I don't need it now. If your fab game won't work - oh well who cares only few people play it. Play another one. Who cares

Maybe for you mate;p People who make games care. You buy the game and then refund. You buy it again refund again. I know a person who bought 1 game 50 times and refunded it 50 times:D

Like there are very good games in episodes like missing etc. to finish them mostly takes less than 2h - people buy it, finish it, unlock all and refund. I care because of them there wont be any good games coming out

Refund abuse leads to being unable to refund anymore.

No you dont. After 3-4 refunds in a given timeframe ( 4-6 weeks) you get a warning. After another 2-3 refunds you get a way sterner warning. If you dont stop refunding then for a longer period of time your refund ability gets permanently disabled by Steam.
NOBODY has refunded a game 50 times.

Yeah maybe but what is refund abuse? If I see a person refund tons of games every day and still can refund?

I have checked today a guy that always buy a game to unblock all achivs then refunds it. Still no ban, still no warning nothing, He buys like 50 games a month !!

After 3-4 refunds in a given timeframe ( 4-6 weeks) you get a warning. !! Really? I even refended 8 games in a week - after winter sale (all crap)

Oh well no sense to write anything more kids like to cheat/abuse and steam give them that. Trading cards died because of it, achivments will die soon. Then all the games who cares.

You know some games have 100+ achievements right? Some people might only have 25 games, but depending on which ones, they could still have a whole ♥♥♥♥ ton of achievements.

And if someone's been around a while, they could get a bunch from the free weekends and demos. But really what does it matter?

Only some games use the VAC system. Like Csgo and others I've forgotten the names of.
