CONTENT SERVERS UNREACHABLE FIX
Nothing worked until I found out that the security service of my internet provider blocks the steam content servers. Now I am fine.

So if you tried everything like me, give it a go and check your anti virus software.

Good luck :)

I tried installing Vipre to see if turning that off would work, to no avail. Apparently my computer didn't have antivirus software so I downloaded avast and turned everything on there off, again to no help. After running Windows 7 Firewall as an adminstrator I made sure all of that was off, and even before and after turning it off checked all of the rules regarding steam and its games to make sure that they were okay, but even after doing all of that and rerunning steam it still has the same error.
The first time I had this problem I switched the region to Vietnam, but after going back and forth between that region and my original and checking every single one on the list it still won't allow my games to download.
Anyone know any tips on how to completely shut down your firewall? All I can find is how to turn it off, which I've already done and it didn't help.

Why would you install an antivirus program that is already on the list of problematic software ?

If turning my own off didn't help then maybe shutting down another, more relevant one, would. (It didn't, but that's beside the point.)

I have StopZilla, I turned it off, reinstalled steam and it did not help my first my first issue and now I am getting this issue no matter what I do. Yet Steam works just fine on my other system.

Boot your computer into safe mode with networking, and try to use Steam there. This is only a test. DO NOT use a router if you are going to troubleshoot connectivity. Use ethernet only and disconnect the router, if you use one, from your network entirely.

If Steam won't run in that safe mode WITH NETWORKING, then try reseting Winsock using admin from command prompt.

Well my general anti virus programm is windows defender, but the the problem was caused by the internet security service of my internet provider (tmobile). I had to fully remove it from my contract. So do not just check the anti virus software on your computer, maybe you have additional programms through your specific internet provider as well.
If you use Vipre, forums suggest that you fully deinstall it. Try to use the wlan-hotspot of your phone. If it is working then, you have definitely some kind of anti virus problem (steam content servers seem to have become blacklisted, so they will be blocked by a lot of programms).

I have been having issues with Missing content somethings and now "CONTENT SERVERS UNREACHABLE." When it was just missing changing my down load to Vietnam worked but had some issues with muti player games acting as if that is my local region.

I have StopZilla, I turned it off, reinstalled steam and it did not help my first my first issue and now I am getting this issue no matter what I do. Yet Steam works just fine on my other system.

Do both of your systems have the same protection?
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

YOU DON'T HAVE TO UNINSTALL VIPRE!

I fixed it by going into "Manage" on the topbar, "Firewall" on the sidebar, "Manage Websites" on under "Web Filtering", then pressing "Add Website" and entering "steamcontent.com"

The reason is that after I looked into "Blocked Website History" under "Web Filtering", I saw hundreds of blocked attempts to access several steam servers such as "valve310.steamcontent.com"...

That way, you can KEEP Vipre and be able to download games. I don't know why this happened all of a sudden though... I'd gone through every other fix on the internet before digging in on my own. Hell, I even uninstalled the whole thing. Time to redownload 50 GB worth of content :(

I use StopZilla. I turned it off and it didn't work. I deleted and redownloaded steam (Didn't have any games so I skipped that second step. did that screw it up?). That didn't work. I changed the download server; that didn't work either.
