Can my PC play No Man's Sky?
I ran my PC on canirunit.com but it said I don't have the required Dedicated Video RAM. I need 1536 mb but only have 128 mb. Everything else I have checks out though.

My specs :
Video Card: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4702MG @2.20GHz
Ram: 12 GB

Any info would be great, Thanks!

No, I'm sorry. Your GPU is well below the minimum.

Steam games have the system requirements on the store page for your conveinence. You should use them when looking at your specs and seeing if you can run the game on your system.

These are for that game...

System Requirements
MINIMUM:
OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions)
Processor: Intel Core i3
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: nVidia GTX 480, AMD Radeon 7870
Storage: 10 GB available space

I've looked at games I've played on my PC on canirunit.com, and it says I don't meet requirements even though I can run them at top quality

Not this one. Seriously, you don't actually even have a gpu. You gave integrated graphics.

Just because you're below the minimum requirements for Bioshock(as an example... the only game on your profile is csgo and that will run on almost anything) and it runs anyways, it doesn't mean a brand new, far more graphically demanding game will run.

Yea, OP as the good shiel mentions here, you cannot compare games like that. You cannot say you should be able to play Game A just because your computer can run Game B. Use the store pages. Look at the system requirements. Do this always, please.

You'd be suprised what integrated graphics can do nowadays. He could run GTA5 at around 30-40FPS and that requires a 9800 which is comparable to the 480 minimum requirement.

No, those two do not even remotely compare.

The GTX480 is more than four times as fast as a Geforce 9800GT.

While the Intel HD 4600 is pretty good, for an integrated chipset, the 480 is still more than three times faster:

Yeah, I've watched some videos of people playing Fallout 4 w/ 30 fps on lowest settings with the HD 4600 and that has 500 mb more dedicated video ram as the minimum.

RAM capacity says nothing about the performance of a videocard.
A bad videocard with 4GB DD3 RAM would still suck balls against a good videocard that has only 2GB GDDR5 RAM.

I have 4 GB of video ram, but 113 mb of dedicated ram. Will it use the video ram once the dedicated video ram is used?

You need to tell us what your gpu is... You only told us the integrated graphics but it would appear to me that you do, in fact, have an actual graphics card.

His i7 is a laptop model-- what makes you think it's so likely he has a GPU?

Because the Intel HD 4600 has a max of around 1700 MB of VRAM, give or take.

Which is why I never asked if his monitor was plugged into the mobo or the gpu.

OP should be able to go to device manager and look in display adapters and see what he has. As the good shiel mentions, which is a good catch, OP may be only seeing the HD 4600 and not understanding if he does have a dedicated GPU.
