[SOLVED] GTA V random crashing

[Metro]

This happenes at different times, but usually when i am in the middle of heists or jobs my gta freezes and i have to close it with task manager. Any fixes or help?

For older GPU such as that, try change it to run in DX10 instead and see how it does.
Many said this helped with older specs crashing. In the game options change to DX10; apply and then exit and relaunch the game.

No error when freezing? Can you still use the steam overlay and social club overlay when it freezes?

It is not happening now, it usually happens around 30+ mins of gameplay then it would just freeze and crash

Might be a memory issue if it happens after 30 mins. How much ram do you have?

8 GB, I have been getting memory issues latley such as blue screens saying MEMORY_MANAGMENT and irql_not_less_or_equal.

I looked on forums and they said it is likley my wifi adapter but Im not sure if it is.

Alright it says I allocated 8192 mb and there is a total of 145532 MB

Now I am going to think that you have upgraded to Windows 10 on that computer and your drivers are not supported or updated/installed correctly.

Did you upgrade to Windows 10 ?

EDIT..If you did change the OS to Windows 10 from a previous OS, then post the model and model number of this computer.

If it is custom built, post the motherboard and revision number.

Make page file settings default and use another app to manage ram. I dont recommend you increase the page pool since GTA V will stutter when its using the harddrive too much. It would stop crashes but it might make it lag or stutter a bit

Try to use an app (ex. razer cortex) to close unecessary apps It could free up 500MB - 1GB of ram which is enough to prevent a crash.

NOTE: If you dont know how to change page file, its on default (system managed)

Dell optiplex 990 I upgraded from windows 7 to 10.

I changed it. Lets pray. I am also installing cortex

EDIT...You cannot just install any OS on just any computer. There must be drivers for the hardware in that computer. That is your main issue here.
