I had the same problem when I bought my controler for my laptop and it couldn't work, then I downloaded a driver and it worked fine, the think is that it was an xbox controler, so it was easy to find drivers. You have a PS3 controler so it will be a little tricky to do this.
If your Antivirus detects malware to Motionjoy, Probably is to make the controler work but is a risk, it might be a harmfull, it might be safe, check the comments and recommentations to be sure,
If you don't have a problem to buy one, i bought an XboxOne Mini controler for my pc, it was 20euros and it works fine.
