Are the two things supposed to be related in any way? (SSD and installing the game)

Was Steam installed before you installed the SSD or did you install it after?

This can be server load and can also be that TW:W does take a little while to load the first time you run it, please leave it to load for up to 10 minutes.

well yes that is why i mentioned it. I installed the SSD couple of days ago and installed steam then purchased total war: warhammer and it won't launch. I also tried launching skyrim and it won't launch it does the same exact ting.

[quote=robomagon;358415738202878725 It doens't even run for more than a few seconds. I hit play and it says running then stop and says syncing then that goes away and then nothing happens. NO game running in the background. nothing. I'm getting so frustrated and there isn't even a steam rep I can reach out and ask for help. So F*(*king annoyed.

if both games have the problem then it's likely your computer where the problem is. Did you update your graphics drivers?
Darksabre Jun 27, 2016 @ 5:38pm
In my initial statement, I posted a link to what I did and it includes updating my drivers.

Every driver on my computer is updated

Walk me through what you did when you got the SSD. Put a fresh install of Windows on it? Did you just copy your Steam folder to it? You're running Steam as an admin, right? You didn't put it in Program Files did you? You verified the game's cache? Have you tried deleting everything in the Steam folder except Steam.exe, the SteamApps folder, and (very important) the userdata folder?

Yes my friend and I did it. He is more exp then I. We installed a new version of windows and I think hey may have copied steam over. I ran it as admin, I verifeid the cache. I uniinstalled and im going to reinstall it again. Do you think its port forwarding?

Great.. So uninstalling steam removed all my F&*^ing games. This is a nightmare FFS. sigh.

I doubt it.

Ouch. Always move those two folders somewhere before removing Steam.

Anywhere. I use drive:\Games\Steam, but you could just use drive:\Steam or whatever. But Program Files is protected and closely controlled by Windows so it's just a bad idea to use it for some things.

SteamApps has all your games. userdata has saves.
