All Games Greyed Out
All my games on steam are greyed out and are not playable. Can anyone tell me what is going on or what I have to do to get back to playing. I have tried numerous things even deleteing evrything from my computer and reloading through steam. NOTHING works.

EVERYTHING IS FIXED , Buuuuuttttttt , I now have to start from the begining with 0 % road coverageand no money on all games :( However My achievements are all there in all the games. at least there is one small ray of sunshine from the fix.

What happens when you click on them? Does it give you the option to install them? If so, are your games installed on an external drive by chance?

Good possibiilty.

OP, see if you have the .acf files in your steamapps folder. That folder is inside the Steam folder. You should have an .acf file for each game that you have installed on your computer.

As the good shiel mentioned, where is Steam installed on your system ?

Opted out of the game ? Not sure what that means...

Open the Steam folder. Then open the steamapps folder. Do you see .acf files there ?

Open the common folder. Do you see game folders there ? Game folders named the same as the games you have installed ?

You should not be using "game icons" anyway to launch Steam games. If you mean shortcuts that is. You need to be using the "play" button from your Steam library when you lanuch Steam games.

You only answered one of my qustions above about the .acf files. What about the game folders ?

If you knew about the "missing content manifest" error already, you should have already mentioned that here to us. A search of that error...

What is your antivirus program ?

There is no way you have "deleted everyting from your computer". It would not even turn on if you did that. I suggest that you be more clear here, please, if you want to get the proper help and so we fully understand what you have done there.

Don't you mean VIPRE...and not "Viper" ?

Ok my friend. You are not answering everything asked in one post. Please, when you reply, you need to address everything you are are replying to. Now I have to ask you yet again...

Where are the game folders for those games that you had installed on your computer ?

If you don't have any .acf files inside your steamapps folder, then that is why your Steam does not "see" the games as installed there as of now.

What about the link I gave you ?

Did you look at any of those posts to find a solution or possible cause of the issue ?
