"Sorry, but you're not permitted to view these materials at this time."
I incorrectly entered my date of birth (wasn't paying close attention) twice when trying to view GTA V in the steam store... this has locked me out of the ability of visiting the store page of any game rated for adults (I am 37). I don't know how to fix this.. I have exited steam and restarted it, still won't allow me to view certain games store page.. I have even completely re-installed steam and the problem persists.. I keep getting "Sorry, but you're not permitted to view these materials at this time."

Does anyone know how I can fix this? Please don't say to exit steam and restart.. I have done that a dozen times.. I have rebooted.. I have re-installed steam. I have tried accessing it from another computer under my current account... same problem.

Wait a while and you will regain access. Birthday information is temporary.

Alternatively you could visit the store in their website as opposed to the client. Next time try to be more cautious and responsible.

Yeah … I re-read the part that this was already tried. Very weird issue you're having.

Are you sure you're 37?!?! (I kid!)

If it's within the Steam Client, I would think deleting the browsers cookies is what would reset it.

Go to Steam -> Settings -> Web Browser -> Delete all browser cookies.

Follow the suggestion here to remove the html folder. Read it carefully, please. That resets the age verification, as far as I know.

You have to delete your cookies.
If using Chrome, you can hack your browser to both never show this again and protect your privacy:

- Open a "restricted" game on the Steam Store - enter January 1, 1900 for anonymity.
- Press F12
- Select the Application category (you may need to press the >> button to reveal it).
- Expand Cookies, select https://store.steampowered.com
- Delete the cookie "lastagecheckage"
- Select the cookie "birthtime"
- Change the value to 1 (for privacy), change the expiration to 2099-12-31 or something ridiculously long in the future, to bypass the session expiry of the cookie.
- Enjoy no longer being phished every time you go to a "restricted" Store page.
