New Vegas is Missing
So here's the deal:

I bought "Fallout: New Vegas (Ultimate Edition)", and it wasn't in my library but I could download it via the game's Store Page. Out of frustration in knowing that it wasn't appearing in my Library, I went looking for solutions and none of 'em worked. Out of even more frustration, I attempted to delete New Vegas to see if redownloading it would add it back into the Library. Surprise surprise, when I went to the New Vegas Store Page all it said was "Play Now" and when I clicked on it, it said (something along the lines of) "Error, .exe file not found, contact Steam support". The first time I redownloaded New Vegas, I clicked "Play Now" and it downloaded just fine, it was in the "steam/steamapps/common" section of my computer beneath the "Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition" folder (promptly named "Fallout 3 goty", New Vegas was in "FalloutNV").

I've redownloaded Steam Client, attempted to remote download it via my phone, and (pre-delete) done the whole "configflush" bit, gone deep into the code of the "appmanifest_######.acf" file, and even attempted to re-add the Steam game folder as the place of where my games should go (y'know, go to "Steam" and then "Settings", "Downloads", and finally "Steam Library Folder").

Nothing has worked and I now don't have a stupidly awesome game. What do I do!?

New Vegas is definitely on your account.

What is your antivirus program ? If it is on this list, along with any other anti-intrusion software listed, then it is surely suspect as to your missing .exe error.

Just to clarify, did you add a key of the game on Steam or did you actually buy it on Steam from the Steam store ?

I bought New Vegas off of Steam. And yeah, AVG is running on my computer.

Hopefully, you have a clean installating of the Steam client there as of now from all the troubleshooting you have done and from any damage AVG may have done at this time also.

If you can launch the Steam client and log in normally, then continue here below, please....

That is almost surely your issue or part of it, AVG. I have seen several users here lately report new issues with AVG and Steam. It seems a new update to either of the two is causing more of a conflict now

I say "more" because AVG was already on the list, in bold, and with a green symbol here...

Try the steps in order for AVG..

1. Real-time scan exceptions for Steam and games. Verify game cache, test again.
2. Disable AVG. Verify game cache, test again.
3. Fully uninstall AVG, reboot your computer, verify game cache, test again.

Verify the game cache of New Vegas as suggested here...

You have to verify the game cache after each step above and BEFORE you try to playtest the game.

So, bad news. I've unistalled AVG entirely but New Vegas stil won't show up in my Library. I've tried (again) to hit "Play Now" on its Store Page, but it gave me the whole "Error, can't find" bit again. So I can't verify the game cache.

Also, when I go to select "all games", it says I have 44, but I counted (three times) and got 43. That shows that it's there, I just can't see it.

Try to refresh your Steam files real quick, please.

According to your profile, you have 50 games.

http://steamcommunity.com/id/krono-tek/games/?tab=all

Here you are saying that you only show 43, so that sounds like you don't have the full list showing in your library for some reason.

Did you go through all the tabs under "Library" in the top of the client and make sure you don't see it anywhere ?

NV also shows that you have 12.9 hours as played but from your words here in the thread, it seemed that you said you just got the game. So how did you get 12.9 hours in it ?

Do you have the game folder in your common folder for FO NV right now and are there files in the folder ?

So... I've figured out that I accidentally hit "Hide game from Library" on a few games a while back... Thank you for your help, I've found New Vegas (and a few others).

I figured that is what this was, that you had some of them hidden, especially the playtime in NV and the fact of your number of games on your account.

Don't forget to get a good antivirus program and I don't suggest any that are on that list.

Thanks for replying back as to what the issue was and we are happy you figured it out. Good luck to you always.
