Some wierd folder in my GMOD data

So, I was going to put a PAC script in my gmod data>pac_3 folder, and I noticed a folder called "f a g g o t" I go in that folder and there are .txt's all named umad1 all through umad33078. They all contain this text inside, "i leik big ♥♥♥♥ hehheheh" ~ The hearts are D I C K

The folder is located at
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\data

If you have any information on wtf this is, please don't hesitate to answer.

Basicly there are 33,078 notepad files that say the same thing

My bet goes to an addon virus.

Probably a hacker that wrote a bunch of files to your data folder.

Any addon can write to that folder as it stores data. Just remove the folders and carrys on, there shouldn't be any problems.

Personally if I made a mod, I would just save a .txt Titled "♥♥♥♥♥♥" on it, with the file containing the text:

Sorry for bump but this kind of thing still exists.

This is something called "joining an infected server." sometimes you can accidentally join an infected server and it will delete everything. There is no way to reverse the effects and sadly you have to delete the entire data folder and recreate it. It's something that happens! If you use something like Advdupe2 I would recommend backing it up before joining any server you have not played before, and checking your addons.

Oh wow you're right. Also crazy you found this post, I completely forgot this even happened. Wack
