What happens when you refund a game?
I recently refunded Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition because it just went on sale (two days after I bought it) and I was wondering, will in uninstall itsself when the refund request is approved? I already beat the first boss (First try!) and I dont want to do it all again.

Just save the save_files somehwere else and unistal from steam.

Also really doubt you'll get the refund but if you do good luck buying the game with discount on time

I already have it bought as a gift in my inventory, which I can add to my library at any time.

A week after I bought GTA V last year it went on sale (granted I didn't play it yet) they allowed me to refund the full $60 and get it for $36

Refunded purchases will be removed from your account.

Will it uninstall automatically?

well then just save the save file of dark souls and unistall it.

Or...(don't trust me in this)
The game will be installed and instead of a play button on the library you'll have a "purchase" button.

No, the files will still be on your computer but you cannot play that game anymore. It will show up in the store as "purchase" instead of "play".

Is that so? I've refunded a game and it was completely removed from my account.

Yes, and that is not what I said. The game IS removed from your account. But the FILES are still on your computer IF you have that game installed at the time of the removal of the game from the ACCOUNT.

I probably should have clarified in my post above "if the game is currently installed".

Steam/Valve does not go into your computer and remove the files if you have the game installed.
