Can not see the flag icon of my country: Isle of Man

Hello Valve's development team

It's more than one year I still have an issue with displaying flags of my country - Isle of man. Instead of the flag I just can see the empty white rectangle (picture attached below). I tried to set the United Kindom country in steam settings if my profile, and it's perfectly working. I can see UK flag. My country never became part of the Kingdom of Great Britain or its successor the United Kingdom, retaining its status as an internally self-governing Crown dependency. Thereby, it should have own flag on steam same way as other countries in the world.

Please, add the icon flag for the Isle of Man. We have a population nearly 85000 citizens and among their many steam customers. They are really like steam and don't want to suffer because can't see their country flag.

I already sent ticket to steam support with this steam issue. The reason why I post it here because Tech Support Jared suggested to me create a thread on this forum.

I got a new answer from Tech Support Jared. He said that steam can't manually update flag icon because some county areas is handled by many companies in different ways. Steam support knows about this problem and they will fix it as soon as possible.

Thank you for answer Jared. I hope soon that companies will give permission to fix this bug. I am looking forward to it.

If necessary, moderators can close this thread. In fact here is nothing that users can discuss about. So just lets wait till it will be fixed.

Steam hasn't updated their country list or flags for years. I wouldn't put too much hope into them ever updating it if I were you.

Was this tech support jared actually projared working a side business? Might explain the delay. Did he send you any questionable photos of himself?

If you never heard about Isle of Man, it doesn't mean it doesn't exists. You can improve your knowledge by using google search.

Thing is, this might be something outside of what Valve will do.

You've already said that there's several other places online that don't have the option to choose Isle of Man. Such databases are usually imported or bought from others.

Most things on the internet/websites are - from timezone management to address databases.

In which case, I suspect Valve will only get it changed when whoever they buy this stuff from updates it.

I suspect it is because it is part of the UK you get the Union Jack. A bit like most of us in England don't get to choose the St George's cross.

In other words, we have something to cover us.
