Antivirus Problem
Hi guys, lately after i have tried to put the steam flushconfig since my steam was pretty bad and kept scheduling my downloads my antivirus keeps giving me over 300 warnings that steam.exe is accessing a webpage that is infected, the page keeps changing a bit like it says : http://valve 1004 then goes 1900 then another warning 1901 then 1002.

Any help would be extremely appreciated.
My antivirus is Bitdefender Total Security 2016 btw, windows 10

My steam account and many more things are very precious since i have spent lots of money on them so i wouldn't like risking a keylogger or something such as coming from other sites.
Same issue here with Bitdefender 2016 while it tried to download a game.

Yeah but i've not had this problem till today, it's just like it went mad spamming me with like 270 warnings a minute.
Bitdefender is on the list.

So is there not any chance that i can do it without disabling it ? i mean i have had bitdefender 2016 on my laptop and so far no problems appeared.
But could i just download them on my laptop and then paste them into my steam folder on my pc through an usb stick?
Perform the steps, in order, from that first paragraph, testing the issue after each step AND after you verify the game files for any games affected at this point.

Verify game cache

https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335

The STEPS, in order are...

1. Allow real-time scan exceptions for the entire Steam folder and test it again after verifying game files.

2. Disable the AV and test again after verifying the game files.

3. Temporarily uninstall the AV, reboot, and verify the game files.

Easy answer ? Perform step number 3 exactly and test the issue again after verifying the game files if you are going to try to play a game to see if the issue persists.

Got any other programs from that list ?

Yes, that is the part about verifying the game files that I mentioned several times and linked above. Probably because that bad AV program (Bitdefender) has messed all those files up and/or quarantined the .exe files for them, among other files maybe and the games won't work.

Seems pretty clear to me, but there may be other issues as well, as you did not answer my question in my last post.

Taking care of the AV program should happen first, though.

Well, that seems to suggest that you have not even taken the first step yet, as you should with any antivirus program that you use.

Making real-time scan exceptions for Steam in your AV program is important, as you seem to be seeing and realizing as of now.

However, that does not always work. And disabled is not the same as uninstalled and all traces removed, after which a reboot of your computer is necessary.

THEN verify the game files as suggested on the support page.

Afterwards, try to play that game you just verified the files for.

Again, you did not answer my last question. I respectfully ask that you answer that in your next reply.
