UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES
Today is August 29, 2014. I checked my bank account today and I OWE 7 dollars. This is surprising because when i checked my account YESTERDAY (August 28, 2014) I had around 50 dollars in my account. There were two charges to my account by STEAMPOWERED.COM 425-8899642 WA 24412894239700423247903. There could have been more prior to these recent charges! I want my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ money back STEAM. I submitted a support ticket not too long ago, so I am waiting on that. I can't believe this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Check your transaction history to see what was purchased.

just did actually, replied to them with screenshots of my history and the times of the unauthorized charges.

Only two or three ways that could have happened.

1. someone else has/had control of your account
2. see point one

find out what happened before it happens again

if someone had control over my account, which is doubtful, my transaction history from steam would show what I bought. My claim is that there were unauthorized CHARGES to my account.

Please clarify what you found in your account history. The unauthorized charges where in your Steam account history, or not?

"Store Transactions"

Check for gift purchases as well.

yeah, what TirithRR said, make sure to check ALL your transactions, not just game purchases, but also gifts and such, and if you spot a gift that isn't supposed to be there report it instantly to steam

you will need to contact support and your bank to fix this.

Just contact Steam Support and also your bank to see what is going on.

Did you give your credit card info to a friend? They probably bought some games on their account.

im having the exact same problem. nothing shows in my transaction history..656.92 worth of charges...still trying to figure out how steam got my card number...im pissed..put in a ticket, who knows how long this will take to resolve...after this im deleting my account and never dealing with steam again

Note that it's possible that someone got your CC information (not necessarly from Steam), and then used it on their Steam account. If that's the case, Steam Support should be able to help you.

Kesac has it right. If someone has your credit card information, then they could buy games/items on Steam and it wouldn't show in your account history.

This isn't due to Steam but your CC information being taken, either from spyware/malware/virues, the CC information being entered into an unsecured site or someone getting a hold of the CC and copying the information from it. None of this is directly Steam related, with the thief only using the CC on Steam.
