The point was, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive might still utilize Steamworks API to take the screenshot. Therefore despite it being an in-game key, it will use Steam for the screenshot.
If it happens only in that game, chances are it's an in-game key combination that you can set from the game's own options. It's probably like Team Fortress 2's where it includes "taggedusers" and "location" and "externalfile" to the screenshots.vdf with the game exclusive .tga -file.
Probably thus something like the "kill cam" screenshot. To sum it up, perfectly normal. The game has support for context-based screenshotting.
I can be rude backwards too: Answer questions when they're asked. Include context when it's relevant, it's rude having me to have to check your profile to find this is related to CS:GO at all, especially when you're posting on the general Help & Tips -forums.
Oh and yeah. What you said was
Given its somewhat unclear presentation (you could've instead said "I've tried other games, and they didn't have this issue"), I'll interpret that as "I only have this issue on CS:GO", and more often than not, on these forums, it also means you didn't even bother try other games.
The previous game you played was 2 days ago too: Terraria.
Kind of ironic if you think about it.
I found this....

EDIT..Looks like F5 may be a special screenshot command/feature for that game.
In Team Fortress 2's case, those screenshots store a .tga -file (which you can safely ignore) under
As well as a screenshot under Steam's screenshot manager, which will include details like "User(s) in this screenshot", "Location" (which will showcase which gamemode/map you're on).
Basically contextual metadata.
PAYDAY 2 doesn't support it, but I've manually input this stuff in my screenshot, so I'll just use it as a quick example (serves the same purpose anyway):

I must be not reading this right, but I answered your question to the clearest extent. I said Nope to the first and responded with only in CS: GO for the second, making it very clear that CS: GO was the only one doing it, as it's a Valve game...
That game's forum would be a good place for searching or asking, don't you think ?
I'll just say there's a lot of users who say "It happens only in CS:GO" and then turn out to not have tested other games at all. Go figure why I don't trust that response so much anymore, especially when going by your profile you haven't even tried other games than CS:GO today. Although, nothing says you haven't had the issue for longer than just today.
Why couldn't you include CS:GO in your starting post? Why did I have to be the first person to dig this up? Why couldn't you say "It doesn't happen in my other games" at that part already, why talk around that response?
Anyway, none of this really matters, it's water under the bridge as far as I'm concerned. Sorry for not reading, I'll admit that I didn't form my inquiry properly which made me not get the response I wanted.
