How does one change the Font for the name on steam?
I have been wondering how to change the font of your name on Steam for a while now, just like that in Microsoft word, it would be appreciated if I know how to change the font of my name.

I only achieved this name via text generator online, yet they are very limiting. I just want to know how to change the font to something like "Blackadder ITC" for example.
you mean all those boxes ans squares?
Yes, it is quite disturbing when someone on the phone looks at my name and see's the boxes and squares, it's supposed to be a font that's cursive and you can only see it on the PC. I just want to get a font off of Word and put it in my profile name.
Steam uses a standard font. Sorry. No special font for you. Anyone else using the client or even the browser I think, will just see ℒ𝓸𝓻𝓭 𝓐𝓻𝓪𝓰𝓱𝓪𝓼𝓽
Hmm, nope, my friends browser based can see my name, it just affects the phone. This is because the phone does not support alt codes.

And I just checked it in the borwser and it shows the same blocks. Some browsers may handle it differently from others. POint is. for most steam users you are Blcky McBlock
Alright, I'll keep that in mind then.

There's no ability to change the font of your screen name. When you see fancy lettering or alternative symbols in usernames it's because Steam allows you to use characters from the extended character set (historically, any symbol above ASCII decimal code 255 would be considered an extended character).

However, in order to see these characters you have to be using a web interface capable of displaying Unicode (or alternatively, UTF-8). Most modern web browsers and email programs can display Unicode encoding, but many older programs and some mobile web browsers cannot (and sometimes there may be a menu setting you can switch, e.g., ANSI --> Unicode). In any case, if your program can't show the extended symbols you'll see the boxes instead.
Do you see the four suits from a standard deck of playing cards below this line?

If not, your web browser isn't capable of displaying Unicode.

That wouldn't work anyway. In order for people to see the exact font you want, they need to have it installed. Or you have to use a webfont which is loaded with the site. Everyone else will see the fallback font.

That's why you usually see DOC(X) files in all Arial while they're supposed to have some fancy fonts. PDFs on the other hand emb the font in the file, so everyone sees it how it's supposed to.
Hmm, I see...
