Weird bubble noise....
Over the past couple of days I have been hearing a weird bubble noise whenever I have Steam open, It only occurs now and again and with no pattern. I just wondered if anyone else has had or still has this?

If you use Skype, there's a two-tone bubble like sound if someone comes online. That's all I can think of though.

No, Thats my Avermedia Live Gaming Portable, I've had that for 3 months. Thanks though :)

There is an option for Steam to notify you when a friend comes online. If you have that option checked, Steam will play that noise ONCE. I don't know why Steam is playing that sound rapidly.

check the volume control settings for each program

see what program is making the noise

check steam friend settings,
disable sound and notification when friends go on/off line, play a game, or send a message
