[SOLVED] Steam Client Doen't Load any Page
Edit: Thanks to Groneil this problem was solved

What you have to do is go to in the client and press: Steam --> Settings --> Interface --> Disable DirectWrite --> Restart Steam. This should fix your problem

Here are some other simple fixes that might also work.
◽ Delete Cache by going to Steam --> Settings --> Web-Browser --> Delete Web Browser Cache
◽ Delete Browser Cookies by going to Steam --> Settings --> Web-Browser --> Delete Web Browser Cookies.
◽ Press the Windows Key + R. Type in steam://flushconfig and press Enter.

Remember to restart Steam after each fix..

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My steam client doesn't load any page (Store/Community/Profile) exept for the friends tab/chat & the library.
I have tried every solution i found online.
I deleted cache, cookies. I signed off from steam Betas. I did steam://flushconfig. I did add the -tcp launch option...
Still nothing changed. Every screen is black so i'm forced to use my browser to access steam..

Any help at all?

It seems that if i try to force clost steamwebhelper, the page loading icon will "animate" correctly but it still won't connect as the steamwebhelper will relaunch by itsself. Any way to stop it completely?

I also had this problem to my old laptop. Mayby because it was old. For now I have a brand new desktop and It works just fine. I think it just needs some improvements in terms of mayby anti-virus,format and stuff like that. :P

I have quite a good laptop which can run most games at a reasonable framerate (60+) with good visual settings. And this happened just a few weeks ago. As skwilly said he has an >1K build so it can't be from that.

I still believe that steamwebhelper.exe causes the issues but i can't find a way to fix it..

I am also having this problem and have tried everything I can find. My computer has an i7, 16GB RAM, and dual gtx 970s so I do not think it is a slow pc issue. I thought maybe my internet connection, but that seems like something that I would be less likely to fix. This is the first time I have heard of steamwebhelper being the problem so at least this is a newer thread.

As I said when i close steamwebhelper the icon is animated normally and it doesn't show the https://error. It only happens when i relaunches.

I really don't know what's happening here

I have this intermittently. I often either cannot open the discussions or they are very slow to open. The problem is bad tonight, can't even get to the Store. Occasionally, I have no problem with connection. Awaiting some solution or at least explanation.

Boot your computer into safe mode with networking. It must be WITH networking enabled. Log into your Steam account and see how Steam functions in that safe boot. This is only a test, and can help to narrow down where the issue may be.
