"Content Servers Unreachable" (FIXED) (GONE BULLGUARD) (GONE ANTIVIRUS)
Im in the UK, London, and I cannot update any of my games, they are all filtered into the "Update required, not qeued" section in my manage downloads. Whenever I click them to update I get the message that the "Content Servers are Unreachable". I use bullguard and I cant find anything to do with steam in my quarenteen and ive done a full system scan (NO errors), I can still play my up to date games but I cant update any of the others. Anyone know what I should do? Its only started today so should I just wait?

Thank you for the response, but nothing has worked :(

This has just happened to me as well! Was working fine until about 40 mins ago, now I keep on getting Content Servers Unreachable.

I was able to download games without any issue until about 40 mins ago. I have looked at all the popular fixes (Anti Virus, Change Download Region, Check LAN) nothing works and in fact all is configued pretty much to allow Steam to work.

Anybody else getting this problem? I am believing this is a steam issue since nothing has changed on my comp and it stopped working :/

Same here, i've changed nothing!

I checked the firewall, it allows steam. Wierd
try closing bullguard and tell me if it works for you
Nope, it doesn't solve anything, still the same issue whether Bullguard is running or not, which makes sense because because I am doubting this is an AV issue since it was working before
Nothing seems to be down but seems it is affecting several users. I cannot raise a support ticket because I have been waiting over 30 mins now to get my support account reset email :/

Sometimes antivirus programs have other hidded processes running not directly related to the antivirus actions themselves, and that causes the problem.

Easy test is to boot your PC into safe mode WITH networking and test Steam there.

well i did some research and some say to turn off vulnerabilities so im going to try that now
Bullguard as well and this error just started today. Thankfully I've just seen this as I was going crazy! First started with subscriptions from the workshop not working in-case anyone is having that issue!
Ok I checked and disabling "Safe Browsing" in Bullguard Advanced Anti Virus options solved the issue for me.

AV & Vulnerabilities are both on

That is one of the processes I was mentioning before. Safe mode with networking should have shown the issue was still there even with BullGuard disabled, but thanks for the report. That helps the community here.

I sometimes have to juggle switching off safe browsing & Vulnerabilities but works. I am speaking to Bullguard support now to make them aware of the issue.

If an antivirus program ever had issues with Steam for me after adding exceptions for my Steam and games I would get rid of it and get another one. Just an idea. Thanks.
Bullguard are aware of the issue, seems some background update caused safe browsing to be over zelous.
