No. No they did not. Referring to a post by the posters name isn't remotely the same as name and shame.
Read up on doxing to find out why this is an issue and so against forum rules.
You must both name a user AND claim something derogatory about them.
So not even close.
-Post personally identifiable information (i.e. name, address, email, phone number, etc.)
You dont have to shame just posting is against the rules
Trying to make an argument out of it however, is not advised.
Splitting hair to drive a principle to its logical conclusion certainly won't get you anywhere.
Yes you absolutely can - I've done it myself. I've posted my own details here and so on. It only applies if it's something that would either paint them in a derogatory light (shming them) or a similar sort of unhelpful situation.
Sorry but that's not quite how it works.
Again, as Reboot rightly points out about, splitting hairs gets you nowhere.
If you are concenred do as they recommend.
It clearly states it's not allowed to post pii
0/10 bait.
You are confusing "letter" of the law with "spirit" of the law.
I suppose you could interpret that specific rule with absolutely zero context to mean what you say. The definition of "name" would have to include a user-name. Any reasonable person would know that's not what it means though.
